Google has created a lot of buzz by revealing the prototype of its new device, the Project Glass. This device has caused jaws to drop and those who can afford the products, are already waiting for it to be launched. This has also caused several other companies to come out with similar prototypes. Olympus has already revealed their latest product as an answer to the platform wars. It is similar to the Project Glass and is called the Olympus Meg 4.0 wearable display prototype. Give below are the features of this device -



1. Fits Like Eyeglasses

Olympus Meg 4.0 wearable display prototype is a device that also fits like a glass. The device has the display screen on one side of the eyewear and it doesn’t hamper your vision. The device is completely hands-free and since it sits like glass you can easily move your head and talk to people with no problem.



2. In-built Bluetooth

The device has an inbuilt Bluetooth which allows you to share files and talk to other similar devices, hands-free. This device also helps stay connected hands-free.

3. Acceleration Censor And Gyroscope

Olympus has created a device that will do more than allow you to take photos and videos and talk hands-free. It has also put in an acceleration censor and a gyroscope which shows that with time the device can do more. The device can become a handy navigational device. This feature can help it to become a favourite device for gamers who want to play hands-free.

4. Good camera

Olympus Meg 4.0 also allows you to take photos and videos. Apart from helping you take photos of things you are looking at, the device allows you to adjust the level; of brightness and contrast of the surrounding for a good clear photo. The light utilization function of the device works without using too much of power. The display is bright and clear and the screen size is larger than that of Project Glass.

The device created by Olympus has good display and Bluetooth, but it does all this by utilizing low power. This makes it user-friendly because you can wear it around and operate it without worrying about it going blank because of low power.

This device is merely a prototype. Inspired by Project Glass, the Olympus Meg 4.0 wearable display prototype is better than Project Glass in some aspects. Those who feel that the Google Project Glass will be beyond their reach can hope that Olympus soon comes out with a consumer version of this product and fixes a price that is way less than what the Google product is expected to be.
